land-of-honey-kicks-offThe Land of Honey Abuja City Development Project has fully commenced operations via the concept master plan/engineering master plan workshop held from March 8 to 11, 2011, at HKR Architects office in Waterloo, London.

It was attended by a full delegation of Kingston International (development managers/project managers and cost consultants); HKR Architects (lead architects); Saraiva Associados (executive architects); Kohath Property Development Company (principal), and Project Solutions Group (potential modular housing contractor).

The services to be provided for the pre-infrastructure phase are valued at about $14 million. This will be fully funded by Imaginative Real Estate Development Solutions (Mauritius). It will cover the concept master plan, initial development management, pre-infrastructure project management, engineering reports/master plan, CGI productions, marketing, design, sales strategy, feasibility studies, site identification reports, development charter production, municipality structure, and development guidelines, and many other strategic programmes.

Teniola Eleoramo, project director, Land of Honey Abuja City Development Company, emphasised that due to the calibre of expertise and associations, the LOH Project has already been generating a lot of excitement in the real estate sector in Africa, as it is potentially going to be a modern, mixed-use, world class city on 1,767 hectares of land in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The development is located in the Yanga district, which is about 20 minutes drive to the central commercial district in Abuja. The topography of the land will be fully harnessed while planning for the development.

He also mentioned that the engineering master plan will be highly focused on sustainability, energy and environment, back-up energy, traffic and transports engineering, and a proper gas system network.

Kohath Property Development Company (KPDC) employs high investment and business ethics by engaging the best in the field and ensuring compliance to environmental and developmental standards.
